I remember I put on my socks, I remember I put on my shoes, I remember I put on my tie That was painted In beautiful purples and blues. I remember I put on my coat, To look perfectly grand at the dance, Yet I feel there is something I may have forgot-- What is it? What is it?...
Shel Silverstein propositioned me once. Two minutes after we met. So I find it tres amusing to discover a poem of his about forgetting one's pants on the very first day I happen to visit this blog. Cosmic and all that. Life imitating art. Is this a great country or what?

I remember I put on my coat,
To look perfectly grand at the dance,
Yet I feel there is something I may have forgot--
What is it? What is it?...
